D1 : TANA / ANDASIBE

Departure at 08H00 to Andasibe (3H30 drive). Visit of Pereyras reserve on the way.
This reserve has a remarkable collection of insects, reptiles and amphibians of the island. Chameleons, stick insects, frogs, geckos and colorful are well represented and are easily observable.
Free lunch and continuation to Andasibe, in the afternoon, visit of Mitsinjo reserve. We can observe lemurs, birds and chameleons.
Transfer to the hotel and free dinner. Possibility to go for a night walk at sunset in search of the nocturnal fauna: Goodman’s mouse lemur or weasel sportive lemur, chameleon…

D2 : ANDASIBE / ANALAMAZAOTRA NP (B)

Breakfast at the lodge and during the morning, visit of the rainforest of Analamazaotra NP. We can observe easily the larger lemur, the Indri, grey bamboo lemur or red bellied lemur.
Return to the lodge and free lunch.
Visit of Vakona private reserve in the afternoon. Possibility of approaching several lemur species: brown lemur, black and white ruffed lemur or eastern woolly lemur sleeping in the tree trunks…
Return to the lodge and free dinner.

D5 : MORONDAVA / KIRINDY RESERVE / MAROFANDILIA RESERVE / BAOBAB ALLEY / MORONDAVA (B)

Breakfast and departure at sunrise to Kirindy reserve (2H of bumpy road). We stop at the Baobab alley to admire the sunrise.
The dry deciduous forest of Kirindy shelters three baobab species. We can observe the unique predator of the Island the Fossa. Possibility to observe the Verreaux’ sifaka, the red fronted brown lemur, giant jumping rat and tenrec. The birdlife is also rich with the presence of white-breasted mesite, blue vanga, Coquerel’s coua and Madagascar harrier hawk.
Free lunch at the gite and during the afternoon, visit of the Marofandilia reserve in search of the smallest primate of the world the Madame Berthe mouse lemur. Possibility to observe the grey mouse lemur, red-tailed sportive lemur and Coquerel’s giant dwarf lemur.
Then drive back to Morondava. Stop at the baobab alley.

Breakfast and transfer to the airport for the flight Morondava / Tulear. Arrival and visit of the Arboretum Antsokay.
The arboretum Antsokay is a botanical garden of more than 900 plant species endemic to the great south of the island. The guide will explain the medicinal value of some of them because the tribes in the south continue to use traditional medicine.
Free lunch and departure to Ranohira (3H30 drive). Arrival and installation at the hotel, free dinner.

Night in Isalo

D8 : RANOHIRA / ISALO NP (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and full day dedicated to the discovery of Isalo National Park.
The National Park of Isalo is one of the largest park of the island. The ruiniform massive consists of soft sandstone with several canyons, natural pools and waterfalls. Several sites are discovered, including the Canyon des Makis housing the Verreaux’s Sifaka and Brown lemur, other sites like Namaza and natural swimming pool. The park also houses a rich bird life with the endemic Benson’s rock-thrush or Madagascar kestrel.
Free picnic lunch. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Between the massive and majestic Tsaranoro bordering the Andringitra National Park, we cross a spectacular landscape, visiting the sacred forest and meeting local people and their culture.

D11 : TSARANORO / ANJA RESERVE / FIANAR / AMBOSITRA (B)

Breakfast at the camp and departure to Ambositra (6H drive).
On the way, visit of the Community reserve of Anja (3h drive) home to a colony of ring tailed lemur, this site is a fine example of successful ecotourism project.
Free lunch in Fianar.
Continuation to Ambositra and installation at the hotel, free dinner.

Night at HOTEL ARTISAN

D12 : AMBOSITRA / TANA (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Antsirabe (2H drive). Arrival and city tour, visit some artisan workshops manufacturing horn and broidery, then continuation to Tana (3h30 drive). Arrival and free dinner, then transfer to the airport. End of services.
